People will sell anything at a yard sale… or at least try to.

Rather than keep trying to capture an emotion… I gave up and decided to try to invoke one instead.  Did I succeed?  Or, should I go for another photo walk?

This is a color photo (ISO 250 f/2.8 1/20 taken at 7pm, so low light), cropped and coverted to black and white with the exposure set really high to give it the 1960s photo look.

I was fooling around with the setting sun last night… working on more silhouettes, when I turned and saw my long desert shadow.   Thus, I took a picture. Looking at it just now, I decided it could fit the “one” theme quite well because there is only “one” of me. Continue reading »

Using the adjective form of this word, this was our “light” dinner (low in fat, cholesterol, sugar, or other rich ingredients).  I know people like to use the spelling of “lite” these days, but the correct word is still light unless you are in marketing.

6:45 PM  ISO 80  f/2.8  1/160 7.7mm;  cropped quite a bit

Post processing done in Aperture using “Day Mail Vignette.”  This adjusted white balance, which added blue to the sky and gave it a warmer look. It also added a vignette, but I turned the Vignette down.
